Slater Thoroughbreds is a high-end breeder of quality thoroughbred horses. 

Billy and Nicole Slater’s lifelong love of horses and interest in horse racing brought Slater Thoroughbreds to life.  Billy said “We are passionate about the industry and want to breed the best possible horses. I’m competitive in every venture and that certainly applies to Slater Thoroughbreds.” 

The Slaters were Ambassadors for the 2019 The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions Carnival which is where they sold their first colt.  

Horsemanship is in the Slater family’s blood. Billy and Nicole both grew up riding, competing in gymkhanas and show jumping. Before his rugby league career, Billy was a track work rider for trainer Gai Waterhouse. A love of horses is something Billy and Nicole have always shared, dating back to when they first met at pony club.
