Overton Showjumping

Overton Showjumping is a family affair with the entire family involved in the sport whilst juggling other commitments.

Sam and Carly both hold management positions in their engineering business. Grace is in her first year of Advanced Business and UQ. Hannah is in Grade 11 at Ipswich Girls' Grammar.

Based just west of Brisbane, the family travel to compete at all of the major World Cup and Championship shows throughout the East Coast. Currently the team has 10 horses in work.

Sam made his World Cup debut in 2021, placing 10th at Caboolture with Oaks Cassanova. His second World Cup start was at Shepparton, where he finished 10th with Yirrkala Cameron. Werribee's event followed, where he placed 2nd with Oaks Cassanova.

Australian Showjumping Championships 2021 (Held in February 2022)

Sam and Oaks Cassanova won the second round of the Australian Senior Titles, and jumped a clear round in the final to place 3rd Overall in the Senior Title. Sam and Cassanova were also part of the Queensland Senior Team - winners of the Australian Teams Championship.

At the same event, Yirrkala Cameron placed in 5 out of 6 Mini Prix classes. Pabello and Carly placed in each qualifer and 5th in the Ruby Final. Grace was a member of the Queensland Junior Team and placed in the open classes with Visage.
